Rescue Me…

This season has been decidedly uneven, and I thought that last night’s episode was no different.  Nothing seemed urgent, as it should be in a season finale.  I could have done without the Artie Lange scenes at the bar with Lou.  I do LOVE that Sean has been hanging out with Tommy’s family because he married in, even though it seems like Young Tatum has dumped him officially.  Why does everyone want to sleep with Tommy Gavin?  He’s pretty much a raving lunatic (which seems to be what the Chief thinks, too.).  OOH Black Sean is going to get in SO much trouble when Tommy finds out he’s dating Colleen!!!  Ok, so yeah, a picnic in the park isn’t exactly full scale dating, but it’s heading there.  There has been too little air time for Michael Lombardi this year….I miss Siletti.  I like caring, forgiving Franco who told Natalie to just be.  That was nice.  And that ending?  Why wouldn’t Tommy say anything?  Instead of just sit there holding his dad?  I guess he just really wanted to live out that Field of Dreams moment.  Who knows?  We’ll see what happens when it comes back….and wait, when did Nut-bag (Sheila) get Elvis/Wyatt’s ear pierced?  I thought Tommy had talked her out of it?  Anyway, I can’t wait to see Sheila and Janet duke it out. I miss Jimmy O’Keefe – bring back James McCaffrey soon!!!  That’s it for me.  What did you think?

My Boys finale – who did she ask???

My Boys

Did you watch?  I can’t believe they left us hanging like that?  Do you think it was one of the three guys, or do you think it was one of her friends?  I’m thinking she either asked Thorn or Brando because those are the two I would have trouble choosing between.   But would Brando really upgrade to First Class?  I would think either Thorn or [Elliot's fiance whose My Boys name I'm blanking on] would do that….This is like “who is at the door” from the end of Season 1 Veronica Mars!

When I first started watching this show, I didn’t care for it.  I thought that PJ was too cliched as a “guys’ girl” type thing, but as the season went on, I got so hooked and now I can’t believe we have to wait for the next season to see how Italy turned out!!

The Random Monday-ness of it all

This time next week, I’ll have all kinds of reactions to what I’m sure will be a horrible Emmy night, hosted by Seacrest, where awards are given to undeserving people, and the real folks are given “presenter” jobs, versus even getting the small chance of giving a thank you speech. Lame.

But that’s next Monday.

This Monday is all about how ready I am for the new season.  As I forced myself to tune into MTV last night, all I could think about was how, ironically, Desperately I wished for a new episode of a show I don’t even watch consistently (Desperate Housewives) because I couldn’t sit through another minute of the horrible camera-work, sound-work, live crap, etc.  I can’t wait to see what happens on all of my old favorites.  Next week, Prison Break, and my guilty pleasure America’s Next Top Model come on.  Gossip Girl premieres, and I have to say that I’m stoked about it. Two weeks until the super-huge-premiere-week-extravaganza on most networks.  It’s a good time of year to be a TV Addict.  So much is coming.  So much to love, so much to rip on.  I can’t wait.

Until then, Happy Monday.  Enjoy Greek’s finale, and The Closer’s finale tonight!  I hear they’ve both got some big surprises!!

Britney Spears should quit…

She looked horrible – bored, like she didn’t know her dance moves, like she forgot the words to her songs.

Not worth the 3 minutes I lost….

Kay Panabaker talks to TheTVAddict.com

Kay Panabaker

My interview with the delightful Kay Panabaker went up on the mothership this morning:

http://thetvaddict.com/2007/09/08/thetvaddictcom-interview-kay-panabaker/

Definitely check it out.  She’s so down to earth – amazing.

Check back this week for an interview (more like a rambling phone call) with Clark Duke, and our take on a conference call with The Fatch – Peter Facinelli, from Damages.

Overexposure of the new shows…

Kate Walsh is every where  (including the new fall TV preview on EW) and I’m not even sure that Private Practice is going to be that good.

I see Michele Ryan’s picture on every website related to TV on a daily basis.  The one where she’s in a button down shirt, looking up, “seductively” and “scarily” at the camera?

I like Chuck and Zachary Levi, but he is in a commercial every five seconds on NBC.

Are networks overexposing their new vehicles in a hope that we’ll forget a decidedly lackluster 06-07 season?

I think so.  I hope it pays off.

The Best (or worst?) Thing I Saw on TV This Week

I moderately enjoyed Napolean Dynamite.

Pedro’s hair changes might have been my favorite parts.

Efren Ramirez rapping?  Wow.
