You know I’m not going to stop talking about this show until ABC puts it out of it’s low rated misery, right? This show is fantastic, and I cannot get enough! I beg of you – please watch tonight’s episode, featuring WAREHOUSE 13’s Eddie McClintock as Ted’s brother Billy!  The slide show above features 25 pics from tonight’s episode – follow the jump for some hilarious clips, too! Check out this video and tell me that you have no reason to watch BETTER OFF TED?  If you say that you don’t think this is funny, I’m not sure we can be friends any more!  In the last few weeks of what I’m sure is the final season (unless ABC surprises me), don’t miss your chance to fall in love with these characters more and more!

My favorite comedy from the 2008-2009 season was definitely BETTER OFF TED.  The genius story of a man named Ted who plays the no nonsense everyman, dealing with a team of crazy scientists, his adorable daughter, an attraction to a charming coworker, and a boss who scares everyone, delightfully!  I was so pleased to hear that it was getting a second season, and now, the wait is over!  Starting tonight, BETTER OFF TED airs new episodes at 9:30 on Tuesdays!

In tonight’s premiere, called “Love Blurts,” the powers that be at Veridian Dynamics (the setting of the show) decide that they are going to take all the mystery out of love, by pairing the staff with their perfect genetic match.  Enter insane and wacky stories that can only be handled by this show!  Taye Diggs, in the picture above, takes some time away from the Oceanside Wellness clinic, to play Linda’s perfect genetic match.  Everyone has a secret and his is genius.

Ted gets himself in hot water with his new lady friend, too, going way too far in the named of “Utah.”  Phil has his own issues to deal with, and then there’s Lem, who has to deal with his genetic perfect match – Veronica!  This cast has never been better and I seriously laughed out loud the entire 4 times I watched the episode!  Follow the jump for some spoilerific clips of tonight’s show, and take some time to catch up on Season 1 on Hulu through Tuesday, and if you miss the window, Season 1 is available on DVD!  If you only have time to catch up on one episode, watch “Racial Sensitivity;” if you only have time to catch up on two, watch “Jabberwocky.”  This show is great! …and if you know what’s best for you, you’ll tune in!  Because it’s the best show you missed this season, and you’ll be doing a disservice to yourself if you miss it!

In tonight’s all new episode, called “You Are the Boss of Me,” the lines between boss and employee are blurred when Veronica and Linda end up spending some time together, and Ted forces his friendship on Phil and Lem.  Here are two promo shots from tonight’s episode – it already makes you want to laugh, doesn’t it?

Phil

Ted

If that doesn’t make you want to watch, then it’s time to head on over to iTunes and check out the Season 1 episodes – my favorite of which, “Racial Insensitivity” is available for free download! Check it out here!

For those of you watching BETTER OFF TED, you know what I know – that this show is one of the funniest I’ve ever seen, and the cast is one of the most likeable casts ever assembled.  For those of you not watching BETTER OFF TED, you should probably never talk to me again.  Or start watching tonight, with the Season 1 finale, and then we can be friends again!

I had the chance to talk to Veridian Dynamics’ head scientists, Phil and Lem (the amazing Jonathan Slavin (right, in the picture) and Malcolm Barrett (left)) in celebration of tonight’s finale, and they have quickly moved to the top spot on my list of downright enjoyable conversations with incredible people.  Read on to find out why, and why you should be watching!

Hello you guys!
Malcolm (M): Ooh listen to the excitement in her voice!

I am very excited.  There is incredible excitement in my voice, because you two are ridiculously good.
M and Jonathan (J): Aw!!
J:  Amrie’s my favorite.  You are the best person we’ve talked to so far! [editor’s note, I may have been the first…. ha!]

See that’s the goal!  I love the show.  I watched the Pilot six times before it aired because I was obsessed with it.
J: Aw!
M:  Wow!

I know, it’s probably a little sick.
M:  No it’s fine!
J:  No judgment here, you’re safe! (more…)

isabella-acresYou know I’ve been championing the sheer brilliance that is BETTER OFF TED since way before it premiered two weeks ago.  Another reason you should be watching?  The adorable little girl that plays Ted’s daughter Rose on the show – Isabella Acres.  In tonight’s all new episode, called “Through Rose Colored HAZMAT Suits,” through an unfortunate incident with the nanny, has to bring Rose to work.  This is the episode that solidified my love for the show!

Isabella was kind enough to spend some time with me last week, to talk about how she manages to memorize all the sassy lines they give, among other things!  When you’re doing reading, tell me this interview doesn’t make you say “Aw, I NEED to watch this girl on TV, she’s adorable”! (more…)
