Law & Order Set

Last week, I had the chance to join some of my friends in the blog world on a guided set tour of LAW & ORDER with the shows stars Jeremy Sisto (Lupo), Anthony Anderson (Bernard), and Alana De La Garza (Rubirosa). We spend a good amount of time asking them questions about their characters, their feeling of being a part of this show 20 years in the making, and what we have to look forward to in the coming weeks on the show (hint – Sisto LOVES him some MAD MEN and Rich Sommer’s guest starring turn this week was a huge “get” for him) – (more…)

NUP_135932_0640A few weeks ago, I had the fantastic opportunity to join some of our favorite bloggers on a trip to the shooting location of USA’s latest dramatic-comedy, WHITE COLLAR.  There we had the chance to chat with the stars of the show (Tim DeKay, Matthew Bomer, Tiffani Thiessen, and Willie Garson), as well as the costume designer for the show.

WHITE COLLAR is the story of a career White Collar criminal played by the lovely and wonderful and beautiful Matt Bomer.  The character, Neal Caffrey, escapes his White Collar prison only to be captured for the second time by his favorite FBI agent the lovely and wonderful and awesome Tim DeKay as Peter Burke.  In a stroke of genius, because Neal has secret insight that other people might not have, the two team up to solve other crimes that are being committed on a trial basis.  If it works out, they will have a long term crime-fighting relationship, and thus the basis for an incredible series is created!  Tiffani Thiessen plays Peter’s wife Elizabeth and Willie Garson plays Neal’s informant friend Mozzie.  Diahann Carroll also stars.  Follow the jump for part one of our very long chat with Matt Bomer (Tim joins us for part two), as he talks about his character, about his cast mates, and about this fantastic show that I think you’re all going to love! A while back, I fell in love with a short film that Zachary Levi and Tony Hale were a part of called CTRL+Z.  The film, about a putupon cubicle occupant (Hale) who discovers the secret powers of his desktop computer keyboard, is hilarious, and won accolades from multpile film festivals for just how incredible it is.  Now, the folks involved, including Hale and Emi Coligado (as well as the creator Robert Kirbyson), have come together for an online series based on the same premise, but taking it a little further than the short film could.  I’m with Rae; I loved the screeners that NBC sent, and now you can enjoy it to on NBC’s CTRL site.  Today is the premiere (the first three episodes are up), and Tony Hale and Steve Howey wanted to say a little something to celebrate!

Jill FlintJill Flint plays Jill Casey, the hospital administrator for Hamptons Heritage Hospital on USA’s newest hit show ROYAL PAINS.  On my set visit a few weeks back we had the chance to chat with Jill about the show and everything that’s going on with it.

Us:  Do you want to just start off telling us about your character?
Jill:  Sure, sure.  Jill Casey. Jill Casey is—she’s a local, she grew up in the Hamptons.  She’s a hospital administrator for Hamptons Heritage Hospital and as a person, she’s a very driven woman.  She’s not impressed with the whole hullabaloo of the rich and the famous that live up there, with their big houses and their fancy cars and their attitudes.  She’s not impressed by any of that.

She’s more interested in taking care of the people that she grew up with, people that she had been surrounded with her entire life. The locals, the people that, you know, do work in the restaurants or, you know, the local electrician.  Just the average blue collar folk.  They sort of get pushed aside by these jerks who drive in there, you know, thinking they’re all that.

Her passion, her dream, what she wants to do is open a free clinic and that attracted me to the script, because it’s—I think it’s very relevant to what’s going on in this day and age.  I mean, how many Americans can really afford to, you know, go to the doctor, have healthcare and have it be decent?  And, you know, if you’ve ever been to any sort of free clinic or sliding scale clinic here in New York, they’re kind of scary. [laughs]

So, yeah, that’s, that’s where she’s pushing towards and that’s who she is.  I’m—I was blown away by her when I met her, so to speak, and I’m happy that I get to play her, it’s good. (more…)

Season two of the hit A&E original scripted drama series “The Cleaner,” starring Benjamin Bratt, Grace Park, Amy Price-Francis and Esteban Powell premieres Tuesday, June 23 at 10PM ET/PT.

Inspired by the true story of real life “extreme interventionist” Warren Boyd, “The Cleaner” stars Bratt as William Banks, a recovering addict who must balance his unwavering dedication to helping others get clean with an increasingly rocky personal life and the ghosts of his addictions. Banks and his teammates Akani Cuesta (Park) and Arnie Swenton (Powell) employ an unconventional – and often by any means necessary – approach to getting addicts and those who surround them to realize they’ve reached rock-bottom and help them begin the process of recovery. With every success and failure, William wrestles with his commitment to his work and his love for his wife Melissa (Price-Francis) and their children through an unusual relationship with God.

Whoopi Goldberg guest stars in the series premiere, “Hello America,” as William’s (Bratt) former sponsor who resurfaces when an addict he is called to help is one she currently sponsors.

To celebrate the premiere of season 2 of The Cleaner, enter to win a great prize package that includes:

Dilshad, Amrie, Scott

So if you’ve been following me on Twitter or know me at all, you know that a little over a month ago, I had the incredible opportunity (thanks to Daniel at The TV Addict and the folks at ABC Family) to visit the set of GREEK.  Along for the trip were Kath, Rae, Daniel, the team from ABC Family, the wonderful creator Sean Smith, the stunningly beautiful Dilshad Vadsaria (Rebecca Logan), and the most awesome Scott Michael Foster (CAPPIE!)!

In honor of another fantstic episode of the show, and as we near the end of the season, I wanted to share Part 1 of a three part series of interviews from the set.  After a tour through the set, with Sean, Dilshad, and Scott giving us little details, we settled down in the backyard of the Kappa Tau house for some one on one time!  Scott and I vegged out on a ratty old sofa and talked what’s coming up, why people watch the show, and where he stands on the Cappie with Casey relationship!

I was just saying that this is one of the only shows that my sister and I sit down and talk about and love .  One of our common bonds.

And I think that it totally resonates with people.  What is it about this show that makes people love it so much?
I have no idea [laughs].  I don’t know.  Honestly, for me, doing the show from the pilot, and season by season, and hearing that people still love it and watch it, and the numbers keep growing, (more…)
